Power Outage Alert for Aquariums

Protect your fish tank or reef system from sudden power cuts with PowerNotify — the smart USB device that sends instant email, SMS, or phone call alerts when power fails.

Why You Need It

A few hours without power can be deadly for aquariums. Filters, heaters, and air pumps stop working immediately, leaving fish and corals vulnerable. Oxygen levels fall, temperatures drift, and sensitive species can be lost before you even realise there’s a problem.

What Happens to Aquariums During a Power Cut?

When the power goes off, your aquarium life support stops at once. In heavily stocked or reef tanks, oxygen can drop quickly and temperature can fall several degrees in just a few hours — especially in unheated rooms or overnight. By the time you notice, it may already be too late.

With PowerNotify, you find out as soon as the power or internet goes down, so you can:

FAQ

Does PowerNotify monitor temperature or water quality?

PowerNotify focuses on power and internet connectivity. Most aquarium emergencies start with a power cut — once you’re alerted, you can take steps to manage temperature and oxygen manually or with other monitoring tools.

Will it still alert me if my internet fails but power stays on?

Yes. If the device loses internet and can’t reach the cloud for your chosen alert window, it’s treated the same as a power loss and an alert is sent.

Can I use multiple devices for different tanks?

Absolutely. You can add as many devices as you need to your account and label them by tank or room, each with its own alert recipients.
