What happens when my credit runs out?
Your PowerNotify account uses credit to send SMS and call alerts. Email alerts are always free.
When your balance reaches zero
- Email alerts will continue as normal.
- SMS and call alerts will stop, even if they are enabled.
- You will not go into a negative balance.
Low balance warnings
When your balance reaches £2.50 or below, PowerNotify will send a low-balance warning by email.
Recommendation: Maintain a balance above £5 to avoid missed SMS or call alerts.
Topping up
- Topping up after running out of credit will automatically resume SMS and call alerts.
- No device or alert settings need to be changed.
Best practices
- Enable email alerts as a backup notification method.
- Use a sensible Alert After delay to avoid unnecessary credit usage.
- Check your balance regularly and keep your balance above £5 if you rely on SMS or call alerts.
